Different basements. One band.

Your band is waiting.

CellarJam puts you back in a band with your old bandmates — or new ones — jamming in real time, online. No lag, no excuses, no loading the gear into a van.

The hard truth

You stopped playing for boring reasons.

Your bandmates live three states away.

Practice space costs more than your first guitar.

Your kid has soccer Saturday at 9am.

We solved this.
How it works

Four steps. Then you’re a band again.

01

Tell us your deal

Your instrument, your vibe, and the night you’re actually free.

02

We match you

We pair you with a band — or you bring your own crew.

03

Gear shows up

We ship a plug-and-play setup kit. No IT degree required.

04

You jam weekly

Same night, every week, like clockwork. Like it used to be.

The tech, no jargon

It actually feels like the same room.

We use FarPlay, the same low-latency audio platform pro musicians use for online performances. Under 10 milliseconds of delay — that’s faster than the sound of an amp 10 feet away.

Translation: drummers can keep time and it just works.

Milliseconds of audio delay
Your usual video call~150ms
Plain voice chat~80ms
CellarJam<10ms

Lower is better. One of these lets you actually find the downbeat together.

Pick a room. Or build your own.

From the cellar

They picked it back up.

“I hadn’t picked up a bass in 14 years. Now we play every Tuesday at 9. My wife thinks I’m in a better mood.”
— Mike, 52, Cleveland
“Found my college bandmate on LinkedIn after 22 years. We’re playing together again. This is wild.”
— Dave, 58, Austin
“I told myself I’d get back to it ‘someday.’ Turns out someday was a Thursday.”
— Ray, 47, Portland
Pricing

Cheaper than the practice space. Way cheaper.

Pick a monthly plan for the band. The gear is a separate one-time thing — no surprises, no asterisks.

The CellarJam Starter Kit

Audio interface, wired headphones, cables — the whole plug-and-play box, shipped to your door. Already have an interface? Skip it. Bring your own gear at no charge.

$249 once
or $0 — bring your own gear

Every plan includes a real setup concierge. A person walks you from unboxing to your first chord — on the phone, screen-share, however you like. If you can plug in a toaster, you can do this. Nobody gets left staring at a cable.

Questions

You’re thinking it. We’ll answer it.

I haven’t played in 20 years. Am I too rusty?
No. Everyone here is rusty. That’s the point. The rust wears off around week three, somewhere in the second chorus.
What gear do I need?
A guitar (or whatever you play), wired headphones, and an ethernet connection. Everything else — audio interface, cables — is in the one-time Starter Kit ($249), shipped to your door. Already own an interface? Skip the kit and bring your own gear at no charge. Either way, a setup concierge gets you from box to first chord.
Will my drummer wife murder me?
We use electronic kits and headphones. The house stays quiet. The marriage stays intact.
What if I’m in California and the rest of the band is in Boston?
We match for geography to keep latency tight. Tighter region, tighter pocket. Coast-to-coast is possible, but we’ll always aim closer.
What if my old bandmates are deadbeats?
It happens. We can also match you with new ones who reliably show up — and still know all the words to “Sultans of Swing.”

Your band is waiting.

Twenty years is enough. Let’s play.
